Shirley McKee passed away March 3, 2025. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio, to Ivan and Anna Birdella, graduated in 1966 from Clearfork High School, and in 1980 from Knox County Career Center School of Practical Nursing.
Shirley worked as a licensed practical nurse for 27 years, then after retiring from nursing, she worked in dietary at the Living Center for over 12 years.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Shana) McKee of Utica, Ohio, and Kevin(Julie) McKee of Fredericktown, Ohio; two grandchildren, Grant McKee of Utica, Ohio, and Alexis McKee of Mount Vernon, Ohio; two sisters, Margaret (Bob) Britton of Galion, Ohio, and Marilyn Ketter of Galion, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; one brother, Bill; sister-in-law, May; one sister, Mary Weitz; and her parents.
The family will be having calling hours Friday March 7th 10 AM to 11AM with a service to follow at the Snyder Funeral Home-Dowds Chapel, 201 Newark Rd, Mount Vernon Ohio 43050. There
