Ronald Aaron, age 81, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 24, 1943, in Blue Ridge, Georgia, the son of Elbert and Ruth (Ballew) Aaron. Ron was a 1961 graduate of Akron Central High School and later attended Kent State University where he played on the Golden Flashes baseball team. After several years of college baseball, Ron competed in the minor leagues excelling as far as double AA, where he competed with the likes of Thurman Munson and Pete Rose.
Ron entered the workforce after baseball and started his career in the auto industry. An industry where he excelled over the years, first starting with Ed Mullinax Ford. In 1979 he went into business himself after purchasing Salem Mall Lincoln-Mercury and later established Ron Aaron Ford Lincoln-Mercury in Mount Vernon.
