Susan Birie, age 70, of Fredericktown passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at her home with her loving family at her side.
She was born on August 20, 1954, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Harold Brown and Wanetta (Boyce) Beckholt. Susan was a member of the Saint John the Baptist Parish and Saint Vincent de Paul Church. Following 36 years as a Marketing Education teacher she then became the Director of Religious Education at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Susan enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting. But most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family and close friends and especially her grandson Finn.
She is survived by her husband, of over 46 years, Deacon Tim Birie; her daughter Elizabeth Birie; her son Christopher (Marianne) Birie; her grandson Phineas "Finn" Birie; her brothers, Steve (Alverta) Brown, Stanley Brown; and her sisters, Sheila (Steve) Zieg and Sandra (Don Snyder) Overholt.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
