John Wesley Chadwick, age 86, of Martinsburg, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Whispering Hills Nursing Home in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was born on February 3, 1939, in Brandon, Ohio, to the late Paul and Ellen (Hookway) Chadwick.
John graduated from Utica High School in 1957 and enlisted into the United States Army as a Medic. John served for approximately 3 years and was Honorably Discharged due to an unforeseen injury. After the service, John worked for Chattanooga Glass Company for several years until he acquired a position at United Telephone. John worked for United Telephone for 38 years, and during this time he met his wife Barbara F. (Hartsook). The two married on April 4th, 1980. John was a simple man, who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was gardening, horseback riding, hunting (deer/rabbit) or running his beagles.
