Joseph Youst, 81, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025. Born on June 7, 1943, to the late Merrill and Jenny Youst, Joseph lived a life filled with music, laughter, and love.
A talented bass guitarist, he played in several bands throughout his life, sharing his passion for music with those around him. When he wasn't playing, he was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, rarely missing a game. However, above all else, Joseph treasured time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandkids, who brought him endless joy.
Joseph is survived by his daughters, Traci (Allen) Cassell and Rebecca Jackson; grandchildren Grant Cassell, Carter Cassell, Jess (Jake) Lindaberry, Jenna Griffin, and Jake Griffin; and nieces Shelly Tingley and Kelly Guzman. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
